Verizon Website Activation for Sprint iPhone 4 Glitch?

Hello,
As the title states, I ran my off contract/ not in service Sprint iPhone 4's clean Meid (Esn checked here and by voice with Sprint) through the Verizon Prepaid website just for the heck of it and was surprised when it came up it could be activated. So I went the whole route online to the end where I set up an account and they gave me a new phone number to activate by dialing the *228 send. I am already surprised at that point as I have read all over the place the horror stories of having and wanting to use cdma iPhones with pay as you go, ect services. In the iPhone's About settings Sprint is listed as the carrier and the screen says no service. I dial the Verizon activation which gives me the familiar Sprint voice saying the phone is not in service and cannot make calls, I know this. Thinking maybe I am one of the lucky idiots I then try activation through iTunes thinking it may work because now Verizon Prepaid has my Esn number okay'd for service. ..Nope. I'm a 51 year old dreamer I guess. It's late and I can't call Verizon now, nor can I find any info online stating any Sprint iPhone 4 has been activated on Verizon's Prepaid successfully. I signed up for their 60$ unlimited talk-text/2GB data plan but thankfully didn't put 60$ on my "New" Verizon account as yet. Has anyone heard of this working or is this a Verizon glitch? I know I'll find out at some point because it's my bad luck once again but a lady can hope? I love Heart my iPhone and really want to find a prepay to use it as I cannot afford another phone purchase. Confused
**Thanks for your time.**

You must change the PRL on the phone to use Verizon's towers.

There are plenty of other things you need to do also that I can't help you with, but there are plenty of guides/forums online that detail what to do.

No need for a Poll, so it was removed.

I appreciate your input and yes, this morning I got that reply from the tech, she stated I would need to get the phone "flashed" to Verizon. Not that I wanted Verizon or to go to all this trouble but it was the only one who I found that would let me register my iPhone 4 by Sprint. Not. Eesh. Would you know of any byod, Boost aside that I would have a chance to use my phone with without changing it's settings ect? Huh This has been a learning experience for this old dog.Dodgy

My son uses them yes, he has a gsm iPhone 5, mine isn't gsm.

Using the Redsn0w tool I find out this iPhone was originally a Verizon, flashed to Sprint by a familiar pay website online. Not that I like a cdma iPhone, it's now a big pain in my arse trying to get service, can't use it anywhere it turns out, even Sprint won't allow it on as you go plans. It makes an ugly paper weight. I jailbroke it to see what options are out there to change the settings you mentioned but there are so many and I don't want to screw it up so bad it's trash.
