i recently bought an iPhone 4 on ebay. the seller said they contacted a Sprint call center and were told the ESN was clean. I also contacted a customer service person on their online chat and they told me it was clean. Now, when I try to active the phone, they're saying it's attached to another account. Any way to help with this? The MEID is A100002559D145. Thank you!

They're right, it is tied to an account already.

There's not much you can do other than file a paypal/ebay claim and see if you can get your money back.
